2014 was another amazing year as people continue to expect specialist work surfaces in their kitchens.
Specialist work surfaces really do bring a finish to a kitchen project that no other product can match.
2014 saw a continuation of the increasing trend towards Corian, which accounted for 26% of all our orders. There are many reasons to choose Corian from its inconspicuous joints and the flowing lines created by coved up stands to its hygienic, non-porous finish as well as the wide range of colours available which are well suited to today’s modern styled kitchens.
Quartz also saw increases based on the introduction of #quartzforms into our range of products with whites and greys showing the biggest increase in popularity.
Granite tends to get forgotten when talking about work surfaces, however, it still continues to hold its own, accounting for 30% of orders. Granite gives a wonderful depth of colour and polish. Black granites are still by far the most popular.
